The cost of fully comprehensive car insurance as at the 31st May 2025 amounted to an average of £757 per annum in comparison to £777 per annum as at the end of February 2025. That is a drop of £20 per annum. Whilst that may not seem a big reduction we are sure that you will agree every little helps. In fact premiums have been reducing regularly since December 2023 when they reached an average of £995 per annum.

If you happen to live in Inner London then on average you will pay more for your car insurance than anywhere else in the UK with premiums averaging £1,185 per annum. If you live in the West Midlands premiums averaged £909 per annum. If you reside in the North of England premiums averaged £651 per annum. The cheapest region is the South West with premiums averaging £515 per annum.
